KITCHEN
Both hostels have a large fully equipped common kitchen.
Equipment includes pots, pans, microwaves, toasted sandwich
makers, toasters, and everything else you need to prepare
a meal.
Placed throughout the hostels are smaller kitchenettes
for your convenience where you can prepare a snack or
use the instant hot water units or microwaves all within
a short distance from your room.
BBQ
There are BBQ’s available upon request.
Enjoy outdoor living with both paved and grassed areas
and picnic tables
DINING ROOM / LOUNGE
Both hostels have spacious common dining areas and comfortable
lounges, perfect for relaxing, catching up with others
during the day or in the evening.
TV ROOM
There is a separate TV lounge with 60” TV’s
complete with SKY. On completion of Palmy 31, a similar
size TV and Sky television will be available for the
viewing pleasure of the residents.
LAUNDRY
Washing machines and driers are situated in the laundry
costing $2 per cycle. Ironing boards and irons and vacuum
cleaners are available for your use.
PARKING
There are car parks available on the hostel grounds,
which are secured at night. There are also covered bike
racks.
MAIL
Mail is delivered directly to the Hostels into your
personal mailbox.
INDIVIDUAL ROOMS
Many people are choosing our Hostels as the preferred
accommodation provider.
Consider this: Each individual room is so spacious
– 18m² of space. You will not find anything
else like it in Palmerston North!
Double rooms are popular for couples and these rooms
are even larger – up to 30m² in size and
have an extra wardrobe, desk and chair.

Every Individual Room contains:
- Your Own Bathroom: Toilet, Basin and Shower
In addition, every room also contains:
- Towels, hand towel & bathmat
- Double Bed: Sheets, pillows, Duvet Inner and Cover
- Crockery, cutlery and tea towels
- Refrigerator
- Food storage Unit
- Wardrobe
- Desk and Chair
- Bedside table
- Heater
- Smoke –Heat detector / sprinkler
Telephone connections for Internet use or private phone
can be arranged between yourself and Telecom, and you
will receive a monthly account direct from the phone
company.
You will be issued with a single room key and a 4-digit
code, which allows you to gain access after hours.
Residents are responsible for cleaning their rooms
and washing their own linen.
